In this episode of 5Talks, Tamseel Hussain introduces a unique digital platform empowering positive change one story at a time.

It’s incredible what a single story can do, says Tamseel Hussain. Case in point is the young Indian teenager who got Burger King in India to go plastic-free after a story on Pluc.TV, the platform Tamseel founded in 2017. Describing it as “a beautiful moment,” it illustrates why Hussain, who is based in New Delhi, began the platform in the first place: to enable anyone and everyone to tell powerful and meaningful stories. Stories with real-world impact.

The name stands for People Like Us Create TV and also gives a crucial voice to the underrepresented, from rural farmers, to remote Indigenous communities. There’s a network of creators available to teach mobile storytelling skills and today over 300,000 contributors from over 22 countries are sharing their stories.

“Everyone has the power to do something, to be a hero in their own way,” Hussain says.
