We’re looking for a graphic design intern in Copenhagen

We are seeking a bold, dynamic and energetic visual design intern. The start date is as soon as possible and the duration would be 3-4 months depending on what works for you.
About us
Imagine5 is a global environmental media nonprofit. Through optimistic and impactful storytelling we inspire and empower people to live more sustainably.
We are on an important mission but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. The team of 18 members is diverse and spread out over our offices in Amsterdam, Copenhagen and San Francisco. Our work culture is informal and entrepreneurial, the organization is flat and we believe in a test and learn approach to realize our end goal of having a positive impact on people and the planet.
About the role
As a visual design intern, you will have the role of assisting in maintaining and developing the visual identity of Imagine5 and making sure our visual style comes through in articles, images, video, animation etc. In this role you will be expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week from our office in Copenhagen. You will be working closely with our editorial team and you will be reporting to our visual director, Marta, and our visual editor, Jakob.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing images to be used in our articles.
- Hands on work in layouting articles for our website and creating posts for social media.
- Assist on layout of our annual print magazine in collaboration with our editorial team and our design agency.
- Supporting the creation of various assets for our marketing department.
- Assist in the development of our visual identity and securing the implementation of it.
What we are looking for is
- Someone with a strong visual eye and attention to detail.
- Someone who cares about storytelling and wants to learn more about working editorially.
- A candidate with a solid understanding of visual storytelling and the role visuals play in conveying a story.
- A candidate with experience with the latest trends in social media – who knows what types of visual content engage people.
- A candidate who is passionate about inspiring people to live a more planet-friendly lifestyle
- Someone who can execute both design, motion graphics and layout.
Technical requirements
- Ideally you know how to work in the following programs: Figma, WordPress, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
Practical stuff
Lunch will be included and the internship is paid. Ideally, you have your own laptop, but if not we will find a solution.
